I first met Mindy McHorse in Delray Beach, Florida, in 2015 at the American Writers & Artists Institute (AWAI) FastTrack to Copywriting Success Bootcamp. See 2021 Edition.

I was watching a video of Dan Kennedy talking about business success. He said the best way to become successful at business is to learn copywriting. And the best place to learn copywriting is AWAI.

I immediately looked it up and signed up for the newsletter.

Soon after that, I signed up to attend Bootcamp.

Lori Allen ~ Travel Adventures ~ Focused Escapes

I met Lori Allen at the AWAI Copywriting Bootcamp and Job Fair in Delray Beach, Florida in 2015 and 2017.

I was interested in Travel Writing, Photography, and Video. Lori’s Great Escape Publishing was perfect for that.

I also talked with Jennifer Stevens of International Living Magazine.

I subscribed to a number of training programs offered by Great Escape Publishing. See Programs.

Lori Allen was the main instructor for many of these courses.

I also followed Great Escape Radio podcasts hosted by Jody Mayberry and Lori Allen. See Podcast Archive.

I noticed that Lori was often very excited about curated travel excursions to Africa, Asia, and other locations where people could experience the world and practice their travel career craft.

So it made sense to me when Great Escape Publishing was sold to International Living Magazine, and Lori started a new company called Focused Escapes.

Focused Escapes is all about the travel experience.
